About Us
Campbellsville Apparel is a cut and sew manufacturer of t-shirts, men's and boys' briefs, sweatshirts, and sweatpants. The Company purchases fabric and other supplies, such as labels, thread, packaging materials, and the like, from vendors located in the United States. These materials are shipped to the Campbellsville Apparel facility in Campbellsville, Kentucky, where the fabric is cut according to patterns and sewn into finished garments, packaged, and loaded onto trailers for truckload shipments, or picked up by UPS.
Campbellsville Apparel is a major supplier to the U.S. Department of Defense, providing undershirts and briefs to all branches of the U.S. military through contracts with the Defense Logistics Agency. Sweatshirts and sweatpants are supplied to the U.S. Marine Corps under the same kind of contract. The Company has done developmental work for the military on new fabrics, new patterns, and new color shades.
Campbellsville Apparel also does commercial and private label manufacturing. Prices are quoted based on type, weight, and color of fabric; construction details; packaging requirements; and quantity. Minimum quantities are determined by the dye lots of the outside vendors from whom the Company purchases fabric. Typical minimum quantities are approximately 2000 pieces of each size and color.
Campbellsville Apparel employs approximately 200, most of whom operate sewing machines. Other employees are engaged in spreading and cutting fabric, maintenance, packaging, shipping and receiving, quality control, accounting, and clerical duties.
